My name is Bright Lee, and I am blessed to serve as the pastor here at Skipwith UMC since July 2025. My journey in ministry has been shaped by God’s grace across many places and seasons.

For the past 20 years, I served the Lord in India while working at the Korean Embassy to India and studying cultural anthropology as a PhD candidate at JNU in New Delhi. I have had the joy of ministering to many communities and sharing the love of Christ among many lost people. India holds a very special place in my heart—not only for my job and the ministry but also because it’s where I met my wife, Grace, 30 years ago. Our son Benny was also born there, and our family continues to carry that rich experience together.

In 2019, the Lord led us to Texas for my doctoral course in missiology, then in 2013 to Virginia, where I began serving as a local pastor in Highland County. In July 2025, I was appointed to Skipwith United Methodist Church here in Richmond, and it has been a joy to join this faithful and welcoming congregation.

My heart is for people to know Jesus personally, experience God’s transforming love, and be empowered to serve others. I invite you to come as you are and be part of what God is doing here at Skipwith UMC.
